On opening night, 40 girls came together and shared a night of bonding, fun, and education. Additionally, the Casa Shelem podcast hosted a panel featuring Adela Cojab and Lizzy Savetsky. It was an entertaining, yet inspiring night!
Loaves of Love
At our Loaves of Love challah bake, an empowered group of young women baked challah bread and wrote letters to Holocaust survivors, giving them a meaningful Shabbat. Led by Rabbanit Frumie Weitman, we discovered the connection between women and challah bread. Women are the only ones who can bake challah, and it is the only food that we bless while cooking! From each batter, we removed a piece and gave it to Hashem.
Krav Maga
The Zionista girls enjoyed a wonderful evening learning Krav Maga from Raz and Liz! They focused on teaching us the tools to defend ourselves in real life situations and how to set boundaries.
